At the BCM, we are passionate about spreading the gospel throughout the world. There are many opportunities that we have to do this on campus, in our city, and beyond.
SPOTS Missions Trips
Last spring, we worked in Oceanside, CA (just north of San Diego) at Cesar Chavez Middle School helping a new church connect with the students and the community. We tutored students, cooked lunch for students and teachers, and did construction and clean-up work in the community.
This fall, we will be heading to Louisville, KY for our Fall Break (October 14-17). We will be working with several inner-city ministries; working with youth, refugees, and community service projects. The price for the Fall Break Missions Trip is $50 and includes transportation, housing, and meals while in Louisville.
Weekly Service Opportunities
Each week, the BCM partners with a couple of local churches and organizations to give students the opportunity to serve the community.
Whether through teaching ESL (English as a second language) at Park Avenue Baptist Church, or helping kids at Preston Taylor Ministries, there are plenty of opportunities for service.
